About the Fujifilm Short Film Festival

The Fujifilm Short Film Festival is a regional festival founded by Fujifilm Middle East, to highlight the work of visual storytellers across the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia, in the countries it serves. Films compete in five categories, with three awards in each. 

In addition, a program of talks and workshops will be announced.

The Fujifilm Short Film Festival invites filmmakers from across the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia, including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Oman, Morocco, Nigeria, Kenya, Pakistan, Iran, and more. Submit your narrative, documentary, commercial, experimental, or student film and join one of the region’s most exciting film platforms.

RULES / TERMS

  • Up to 30mins
  • No nudity, coarse violence, overt political messaging
  • Film can only be accepted if it passes UAE’s National Media Council screening
  • Must have rights to any copyrighted and trademarked music and other materials in place
  • Must have been published for the first time within the past 2 years
  • Does not need to be exclusive, or a premiere — open to all
  • Open to films produced within these countries (countries actively served by Fujifilm Middle East, where we are currently able to award prizes):
