Mania Karimianpour

I was born in T ehran, Iran, in 1981 and have explored a wide range of artistic disciplines,
including music, video art, and theatre. I began my photography career in 2008 as a
freelance photojournalist for a leading news outlet before transitioning to fine art
photography.

In 2011, I moved to Budapest, where I expanded my creative pursuits to include
contemporary dance and performance art, blending these elements with my visual art and
photography. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in fashion photography from Budapest
Metropolitan University.

Throughout my career, I have collaborated on various artistic projects in both Iran and
Hungary. Since returning to Iran in 2020, I have worked in different fields of photography,
focusing on portrait, fashion, product, fine art, and documentary photography. Additionally, I
have been working as an artistic director. I am an intuitive photographer and have also
ventured into documentary filmmaking.
